Today's Deep Thought comes from the Western Section of the Library, Emotions. Today it's about Depression. Yep, I'm in one of those mood's and its NOT going away anytime soon people. Yeah, I'm depressed, what else is new. My girlfriend and I broke up and she left me for another guy. So after a few hours of listening to depressing music I decided to write this post. Now depression sucks and if you get in it, it takes
a lot to get out of it. The list of symptoms are:
- Sadness or hopelessness
- Irritability, anger, or hostility
- Tearfulness or frequent crying
- Withdrawal from friends and family
- Loss of interest in activities
- Changes in eating and sleeping habits

- Restlessness and agitation
- Feelings of worthlessness and guilt
- Lack of enthusiasm and motivation
- Fatigue or lack of energy
- Difficulty concentrating
- Thoughts of death or suicide

So if you have those, you're depressed. Now, I think that the reason most people become depressed is because drastic things change in their lives. They could move away from all of their friends, their parents could divorce and they could break-up with their boy/girlfriend. The thing that you need to be careful about is isolation. If someone is too isolated then try to draw them out of their shell. Be friends with the person, make them feel like they're worth it. Even if their reason seems silly, don't criticize. Make see the light and good side of things. The ONLY thing between suicide and person who is depressed is
